GCISD Students Earn State DECA Awards

Colleyville Heritage High School and Grapevine High School DECA members attended the Texas State Career Development Conference in Dallas, competing against 1,800 students from across the state in various categories. 

A total of 23 GCISD students were honored at the conference, including 17 State Winners who will all move on to compete at the International Career Development Conference in Orlando in April. There will be over 19,000 students from across the U.S. and Canada competing at the conference.

In addition to the individual honors listed below, each chapter won some special awards. The CHHS chapter earned the Century Chapter award for having over 100 members and the National Membership Campaign award for growing their membership by more than 40 members from the previous year. The GHS chapter earned the Diamond Chapter award for having over 200 members.
