Grapevine-Colleyville ISD will host its Rachel’s Challenge Rally on Saturday, April 27, at Colleyville Heritage High School. The event will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Panther Den (cafeteria).
The community, as well as all GCISD students, staff and parents are invited to join in this fun annual event that celebrates kindness, respect and compassion for others. This year’s event features a free 1-mile fun run, local vendors, samples of popular and new food items from GCISD Nutrition Services, free games and activities for children and motivational speakers. The theme of this year’s event is “Kindness is my super power”.
Participants in the 1-mile fun run are encouraged to sign up prior to the event.
Rachel’s Challenge exists to equip and inspire individuals to replace acts of violence, bullying, and negativity with acts of respect, kindness, and compassion. For more information about the program, visit RachelsChallenge.org.
GCISD has adopted Rachel’s Challenge as its Character Education message and all campuses use this program to initiate change and promote positive campus environments.
Our Rachel’s Challenge Rally is a celebration of student kindness and compassion that has been ongoing throughout the school year. We will recognize the Rachel’s Challenge campus groups and the students who have been proactive in changing the atmosphere of this district.
In addition to the annual Rally, all schools in GCISD are participating in an annual school supply drive. Check out which supplies your school is collecting.
