Glenhope Elementary fifth-grade student Maggie Li recently earned recognition for her entry in the Texas Department of Agriculture’s You Are What You Eat art contest. Out over 500 entries illustrating the theme Save the Day with a Healthy School Breakfast, Maggie earned third place in the elementary school category.
For her achievement, Maggie received a print out of her artwork along with a letter of thanks from Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller. Additionally, there are plans to feature Maggie’s art in the GCISD menu next year.
