2018-2020 UIL Realignment announced for basketball, football, and volleyball

UIL Realignment moves Colleyville Heritage High School and Grapevine High School into Region 1, District 4 of Conference 5A for football and Region 1, District 7 of Conference 5A for basketball and volleyball.

“In GCISD, our schools excel in academics, athletics, fine arts and every facet of education,” said Dr. Robin Ryan, GCISD Superintendent of Schools. “This realignment provides both of our comprehensive high school campuses with the continued opportunity to be competitive both in the classroom and on the performance stage, court or field of play. We look forward to this upcoming school year, where both Mustangs and Panthers alike, can continue to compete at the highest levels."

The recent football UIL Realignment for Region 1, District 4 will include the following schools:

Carrollton Creekview
Carrollton Smith
Carrollton Turner
Colleyville Heritage
Denton
Denton Ryan
Grapevine
North Richland Hills Birdville

The UIL Realignment for basketball and volleyball for Region 1, District 7 will include the following schools:

Azle
Colleyville Heritage
Fort Worth Boswell
Fort Worth Chisholm Trail
Grapevine
North Richland Hills Birdville
Saginaw
White Settlement Brewer

School populations ranging between 1,100 - 2,149 were designated as Class 5A.
