Current Colleyville Heritage High School associate principal, Jessica Ramos Jones, has been named principal at Bridges Accelerated Learning Center. Trustees approved the appointment during the July 2 Board meeting.
“Over the last several years, Jessica has quickly acclimated to the District culture and has proven herself as a leader on the rise,” said GCISD Superintendent Dr. Robin Ryan. “We are excited for Jessica to have the opportunity to lead a campus in GCISD!”
Ramos Jones began her career in 2008 as a classroom teacher and head softball coach in Fort Worth ISD. During her time in Fort Worth ISD she also served as a volleyball coach, high school summer school principal and high school assistant principal.
In 2017, Ramos Jones moved to Colleyville Heritage High School as an associate principal where she has worked with department learning leaders to improve professional learning communities, served as the campus behavior coordinator and DAEP hearing officer and facilitated the Campus Excellence Committee.
"It has been such a pleasure serving the staff, students, and families of CHHS these past 3 years,” Ramos Jones said. “I am so honored to have the opportunity to serve the families in my new role and I look forward to building relationships with students and staff. I am committed to providing a positive learning environment that meets the needs of our students!"
She earned her bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University and a masters degree in educational policies and leadership studies from University of Texas at Arlington. Ramos Jones is also working towards her doctoral degree in educational leadership from Texas Christian University.
