Social Media Terms of Use

  • The Grapevine-Colleyville Independent School District has created a limited public forum through its social media platforms for campus and District communications only, subject to the following Terms of Use. Should you wish to advertise or partner with the District, please contact the GCISD Education Foundation at [email protected].
  • Site administrators are actively monitoring our platforms Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Comments and messages that are sent outside of normal GCISD business hours, or during holidays, may receive a response the next business day.
  • Comments or posts shall be limited to the topic of a specific posting made by the site administrator. Topics not introduced by the site administrator are not open for discussion on this page and will be removed by site administrators.
  • Reporters and other persons seeking responses to questions or requests are asked to refrain from submitting questions as comments and instead send questions to the GCISD Communications Services Department by email at [email protected].
  • Photographs may only be posted when appropriately prompted by a GCISD post. If you have a photo you would like to share with us, please email it to the site administrator at [email protected].
  • In the event that a comment violates the terms of use, the comment will be hidden from the site and a warning will be sent to the user stating the term that was violated. If there is another violation, said individual shall be blocked from the site.
  • Comments or posts are not allowed:
    • If they include profanity, threatening words, vulgar or inappropriate language or content;
    • If they include offensive language that targets ethnic, religious, or racial groups;
    • If they include bullying or sexually harassing language;
    • If they include slanderous or disparaging language;
    • If they include hate speech;
    • If they make any political statements or campaign for any local, state, or national government positions;
    • If they include spam, advertisements, or links to other sites. This includes advertisements for special offers or discounts for teachers, students, or administrators;
    • If they include private information about a student, parent, employee, or community member. These comments will be removed by a site administrator.
  • Site administrators will remove comments or posts that include any of the items listed above.
  • GCISD reserves the right to change the Terms of Use policy at any time by posting revised Terms of Use on this site. Continued use of this site after such revised Terms of Use have been posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms of Use and agreement to the revised Terms as a condition to your continued use of the site.
