Both the Grapevine High School and Colleyville Heritage High School cheerleading squads had outstanding performances at the UIL Spirit State Championships at the Fort Worth Convention Center on Thursday.
The Mustangs took home runner-up honors at the Class 5A - Division I level while the Panthers finished seventh. GHS and CHHS finished with final scores of 88.55 and 82.95, respectively, which actually tied them for first place and sixth place, respectively. The teams finished second and seventh after tiebreakers which factor in qualifying scores.
