On Thursday, January 21, the GCISD Board of Trustees approved the student and staff instructional calendar for the 2021-2022 school year.
A few highlights from the 2021-2022 instructional calendar:
- Students will begin classes on Wednesday, August 18.
- Students will have two three-day weekends in September and one three-day weekend in October.
- Classes end for the first semester on Friday, December 17. The second semester begins after Winter Break on Wednesday, January 5.
- Spring Break is March 14 - March 18.
- Students and staff will have a four-day weekend in April (dependent on the need to makeup one or both inclement weather days).
- Classes are finished on May 26.
