Grapevine-Colleyville ISD is proud to announce that 55 members of the Class of 2022 have been identified as College Board National Recognition Program Scholars. This program creates pathways to college for students from underrepresented communities by awarding them academic honors and connecting them with universities across the country.
These students scored in the top 2.5% of Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) test takers who identify as one or more of the following: African American, Hispanic American or Latinx, Indigenous, or attend school in a rural area, or are from a small town.
In order to be eligible for this distinction, students must take the PSAT/NMSQT in October of their junior year, achieve the minimum requested PSAT/NMSQT scores (qualifying level may vary by state each year), earn a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher by the middle of their junior year, and identify as African American, Hispanic or Latinx, Indigenous, and/or attend school in a rural area or small town.
More information on the programs, including organizations that serve as advisers for each program, can be found on the College Board website.
