District-Wide MLK Day of Service Announced

Campuses across GCISD are coming together this January to support local families through donations to GRACE and the CHHS Panther Pantry. The entire community can participate in this endeavor by donating various items (listed below) to campuses from January 5-14. Donations can also be brought to drive-thru events at GHS and CHHS on Monday, January 17, in honor of the MLK Day of Service. Those locations will accept donations between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Dove ES - Strawberry jelly
Glenhope ES - Condiments (ketchup, mustard, mayo)
Grapevine ES - Books for refugees
Heritage ES - Sugar
Silver Lake ES - Canned fruit
O.C. Taylor ES - Bars of soap
Timberline ES - Shampoo and conditioner
Colleyville MS - Boxes of rice
Cross Timbers MS - Cooking oil (small containers)
Grapevine MS - Canned meat
Heritage MS - Baby wipes
Collegiate Academy - Deodorant
Colleyville Heritage HS - Items for Panther Pantry (*see note below)
Grapevine HS - Shampoo and conditioner
Bridges, Vista, PDEC - Deodorant
PTA Council - Paper towels

*NOTE: Items donated to CHHS will first stock the Panther Pantry, with overflow items being donated to GRACE. Items needed for the Panther Pantry are individually-wrapped snack items and toiletry items.  Some examples are granola bars, cereal bars, cheese crackers, fruit cups, fruit snacks, pop tarts, other teen-friendly foods, shampoo, soap, deodorant, toothpaste, floss, toothbrushes, feminine products, laundry detergent.
