GCISD is proud to once again participate in the Hour of Code, a nationwide initiative by Computer Science Education Week and Code.org to introduce students to one hour of computer science. It was launched in December of 2013 to demystify and promote Computer Science by letting students practice problem solving and creativity using hands-on activities.
GCISD has participated every year since its inception, and this year students were able to take part in a variety of activities, including the coding playing ground in their learning commons, visits from computer science experts and other activities in their classrooms.
