At the January 24 GCISD Board of Trustees meeting, Trustees approved an amended board policy related to transfers. Beginning with the 2022-2023 school year, the STEM and Dual Language programs will not accept transfers prior to first-grade.
Additionally, these programs will no longer host a lottery but will accept transfer requests during the annual student transfer request window from March 21 - April 8, 2022. Seats for the programs will be filled based on available capacity in each grade level on those specific campuses. GCISD will follow the annual transfer process as outlined in the Student Transfer Administrative Regulations. For more information on the transfer process, click here.
