Parent Tech Academy: Digital Citizenship
Posted on 03/07/2022

GCISD’s Parent Technology Academy is returning this month with a session focused on digital citizenship. The free session will be held on Wednesday, March 23, at 6 p.m. on Webex. GCISD's Digital Learning Team will lead this virtual session in which parents will learn things the district is doing to keep our students safe and tips for you to implement at home.

No registration is required, and parents can join by simply visiting www.GCISD.net/ParentTech. Shortly before the session begins, this link will direct parents directly to the Webex session. The live session will be conducted in English, with a summary of the session available in both English and Spanish after March 23.

The Parent Technology Academy is a place where parents can come to learn about current trends in social media, online websites, and tools their students use each day at school. Past sessions have included Top Apps Parents Need to Know, Social Media and College, Understanding Google Docs, Internet Safety, Minecraft for Parents, Fortnite For Parents, Apple Screen Time and more.
